Welcome to Laveen Elementary School, proud home of the Hawks. We're a pre-kindergarten and K-8 school in The Valley of The Sun. We are located in the Phoenix Metropolitan area; specifically in the extremely fast growing southwest portion of Phoenix. We strive hard to meet goals and education standards, and work hard to improve our skills in reading, writing, and math. With just over 700 students total, our moderate-sized school and small class sizes encourage learning and exploration. We take great responsibility to teach your students the best we have to offer every day.

Our thoughtful and caring teachers know the potential of every boy and girl. We'll take good care of your children and prepare their minds. Dear Parents,

We are pleased to announce the new campus is open and ready for students. We want to continue our success by building on the long history of our school. This year we intend to increase our student achievement by implementing guided reading in grades K-3, offering tutoring in reading and math in 1st through 8th grade, involving students in a weekly reflection, and involving parents more in their son or daughter’s education.

You can help your son or daughter be successful at Laveen Elementary School by doing the following:

• Volunteering at least one hour a month
• Reviewing your son or daughter’s reflection log every week
• Create a routine at home where students can do their homework
• Have your son or daughter read every day
• Ensure your son or daughter receives at least 8 hours of sleep
• Reinforce S.O.A.R. (Safe, Organized, Accountable, Respectful)
